Heather began her financial advisement career after many years in the agricultural industry with a small independant firm, Cedarbrook Financial Inc of Peterborough, Ontario. A former dairy farmer in Hastings county she now operates a beef cow/calf and feedlot, cash crop operation with her husband and parents in-law. An active mother of three girls she participates in many community and local events. A short list of her present activities includes:
- Agricultural rep for the Quinte watershed Source Water Protection Committee
- Hastings Federation of Agriculture director
- Township of Tyendinaga Youth Soccer Assosciation
- Hastings County Riders Club.
